What is a novation?
A novation updates an agreement to reflect a legal change in party (e.g. company ownership). If the CRN or KVK changes, a novation is required.
What do I need to provide for a novation?
Details of the new entity and any supporting documentation via the View portal.
How is the novation process completed?
Once info is received, we draft paperwork for all parties to sign within 2 weeks. Once signed and returned, we update the agreement.
Can I request legal changes to the novation template?
Yes. Custom changes can be made with consent from all parties.
What if software ownership is split or licensed differently?
You may need to provide a Letter of Authority from the IP owner or adjust the agreement type. Please contact support if you have any queries.
