Release

Who should I contact about a release?

Contact your Account Manager or email the release team release@escode.com (UK & EU) or releaseus@escode.com (US). You can also submit requests via the View portal or by post.

What are the standard release events?

Typically, bankruptcy, insolvency, or failure to maintain the application, though final conditions are agreed between the vendor and licensee.

Am I entitled to a release?

If you have a current escrow agreement and a defined release event has occurred, you are eligible for a release. Check the “Release” clause in your agreement for details.

How do I request a release?

Submit your request to release@escode.com (UK & EU) or releaseus@escode.com (US). Include the relevant clause, supporting documents, and ensure all fees are paid.

What should my notice or statutory declaration include?

It should confirm the release event, the validity of your license at the time, and reference the relevant agreement clause. Include any supporting evidence and your preferred delivery method.

How do I make a statutory declaration?

An officer must complete it before a solicitor. We can provide a template, just ask the release team.

How do I pay release fees?

All outstanding fees must be paid before materials are released. The release team will confirm any unpaid invoices.

What happens after I apply?

We check your request against the agreement. The vendor can object, if not, the material is released. If they do object, the dispute process in your agreement applies.

Can I request immediate release?

Yes, if the vendor agrees. We’ll provide an indemnity letter for all parties to sign confirming the change to standard terms.

Which deposits will be released?

We’ll confirm what’s held under your agreement. You can receive materials electronically or by courier.

How does electronic release work?

We release files via the View portal or secure SFTP. You’ll get login details once the release is approved.

Does the escrow agreement end after release?

Most agreements end upon release. If you'd like it to continue, speak to the release team.
